Felt great to race the national cross country relays on Saturday for my home club Reading. Mansfield is always one of my favourite cross countries and was good to get out there and put in a solid performance in the middle of a tough training block.
Hopefully plenty more to come and looking forward to racing the Milton Kenyes Cross Challenge next weekend before preparing for the European Cross County Trials in Liverpool at the end of the month.
Senior Men Aldershot, Farnham and District had a successful day once again and continued their winning ways with victory in the final race of the day. Doug Musson (Luke Gunn) moved Notts up from 10th to leading after the second leg with Morpeth’s Carl Avery now second and Alex Pilcher putting Derby third. At this point AFD lay fourth through Harvey Dixon with a number of clubs not far off the pace of the medal positions. Further back Jonathan Davies was lifting Reading 38 places to 12th with a 14:48. The third leg was going to see a real shake up with some key performances put in. Click here for results of the senior men’s event
